PFI Vertical Refiner Introduction

PFI vertical refiner is basically an experimental beater widely used in the preparation stage of paper making. Beating mechanism: a constant load is given to the pulp circulating in between stainless steel roll and cylindrical mill house, which are rotating with a constant difference in circumferential velocity, applying mechanical effects such as shear and compression, thereby performing beating by frictional forces between fibers.The number of rotations is read on the counter. The beating degree is evaluated by the freeness tester.

PFI Vertical Refiner Working Principle

The metered pulp with a specified concentration is placed between the knife roller and the smooth beating cylinder. The knife roller and the beating cylinder rotate at different circumferential speeds. This acts on the pulp to achieve the purpose of beating.
